Our Dundee office held a fun Easter day out last month at Camperdown Park. We invited carers, children, and young people to come have some fun and be active.

A fun and active day out at Camperdown Park

In typical Scottish tradition, the weather was unpredictable, and although it stayed dry, it was definitely ‘blowing a gale’. This was evidenced by all of our activities and resources being blown around the park! However, this didn’t deter the families and young people who came along to join in the Easter fun.

We held sports day races – including an Easter egg and spoon race – where everyone had a chance to show off their competitive streak in the hope of winning a medal and some chocolate. The young people then got creative by painting and decorating eggs before playing in the adventure park. This was enjoyed by all and gave the young ones a chance to play with the friends that they made on the day, and allowed the carers to have a catch up.

We finished our day out with an Easter egg hunt. There appeared to be no hesitation, with everyone managing to sniff out the hidden chocolate treats! The smiles on their faces showed that they were very happy with their finds. Feedback from the day was positive and a good day was had by those that attended.
