Our Permanence Team recently enjoyed a Team Development day, entitled ‘Birds, Butterflies and Tadpoles – The Process and Power of Change’.
The team are becoming used to changes, but thought it was important to consider how change can be anticipated and managed positively. We also recognised the achievements of the team, through the progress and successes of our amazing carers and young people.
We looked at how our different personality types – Explorers, Sentinels and Diplomats – fit together to create a dynamic, supportive team with lots of skills and abilities. Looking at the stages of change was also helpful, recognising that some of the anxiety and confusion is inevitable – ‘but that’s ok!’.
After lunch, we split into two groups – some tried their skills at archery, whilst others had fun on Segways. Altogether the team had an enjoyable, productive and positive day.
