Ryan Walker (Swiis Foster Carer) and a few of his work colleagues participated in the Edinburgh KiltWalk 2016 to fund-raise for their company’s chosen charity CHAS.
Ryan and Maizie (Ryan’s lovely dog) walked for 26 miles from Scotland’s National Rugby Stadium, Murrayfield, down to Portobello via Leith and back via Arthur’s Seat, Holyrood and back to Murrayfield. Along the way, Maizie injured herself by slicing her pad, so she had to be rescued by the Kiltwalk team. She did amazingly well and the organisers made it possible for Maizie to finish by Ryan carrying her over the finishing line.
Ryan said: ‘It felt so much like the Olympics when we crossed the line – the crowd were chanting Maizie’s name, and she was even awarded a medal too!’
Well done Ryan & Maizie – what an achievement!
