Marital status

You can be married, single, or living with your partner to foster. If you live with someone, you will go through the approval process together.

Work life

You can be a carer and work, but be aware you need to be flexible and possibly cut your working hours as foster carers need to be available to support the child or young person with school and other outings, and also need to attend training.

Children

Birth children make a brilliant addition to a fostering family. We are here for you and your children with support groups, events, and activities.

Previous experience working with children

You have got some experience – that is ideal!
