The festival took place on Sunday 14 June, in the West End’s beautiful Kelvingrove Park, and was the 25th Glasgow Mela, and was attended by some 40,000 festival-goers.
Glasgow Mela is Scotland’s biggest free multicultural festival. It takes place annually, and is open to all ages. Audiences can enjoy live music and performance as well as family activities, stalls selling gifts, accessories, textiles, clothes and more, and a mouth-watering range of world foods.
Swiis Foster Care Glasgow/Central colleagues attended Glasgow Mela taking turns to staff the Swiis Foster Care Scotland information stall.
It was a fantastic day and a great atmosphere. A lot of visitors stopped at our stall and where interested in finding out more. We had 11 enquiries from that day, more took information leaflets home.
