An enjoyable Easter craft day and egg hunt was held at the Swiis Dunfermline office on the 5th of April for children aged 8 and under. The day involved painting eggs, making Easter bonnets and hats and Easter cards.
The Swiis staff brought along some musical instruments to help keep the children entertained. 10 children and their carers came along on the day. The children painted eggs and drew faces on them, and enjoyed playing with the musical instruments.
The children were also given a hat or bonnet each and decorated them as Easter chicks. Other decorations were available to the children so that they could personalise their hats.
An Easter egg hunt also took place where photos of eggs were placed outside the offices on trees and bushes. The children were split in to groups and, supported by the carers, went out and gathered in the photos of the eggs. After collecting all the eggs, each child was given a small Easter egg in exchange for the photos they had collected. They were then given an additional Easter egg to take home.
This was a very successful session with the children – they all enjoyed the day, especially the fact they all received at least two Easter eggs to take home!
