During the first Covid 19 lockdown, Swiis Foster Care Scotland Panel and Review Coordinator Lynn made scrubs for her local NHS with only spare material and her expert sewing machine skills.
Scrubs are the plain clothes worn by medics when dealing with patients and were used by an increasing number of NHS staff as part of their personal protective equipment. In order to stop the spread of Covid-19, scrubs needed to be changed more frequently so volunteer sewers (like Lynn) around the country came together to make up the shortfall.
