Veganuary is an annual challenge run by a UK non-profit organisation which inspires people every January to avoid any products derived from animals, such as beef, fish, cheese or eggs.
Over 629,000 people took part in Veganuary in 2022, and the two million total past participants are estimated to have spared the lives of 6.7 million animals and saved 207,680 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere. Oxford University research suggests that a vegan diet can also reduce food costs by up to one third.
